Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Do you charge for an estimate?

A. No — all estimates are free

Q. How far do you travel for jobs?

A. We serve the Charlotte area including Charlotte, Matthews, Belmont, Fort Mill, Rock Hill, and nearby communities.

Q. What results can I expect?

A. Our goal is simple: we make your natural stone look like new again

Q. What types of stone do you work on?

A. We clean, polish, and seal marble, granite, quartz, quartzite, and other natural stone surfaces.

Q. I’ve got spots on my marble from lemon or acidic cleaners — can you fix that?

A. Yes! Acidic substances like citrus or certain cleaners can etch marble — a chemical surface reaction that dulls the stone. We specialize in etch removal and can restore the polished finish.

Q. Will the restoration create a lot of dust and mess?

A. Not at all. We use diamond abrasives and water — a dust-free, clean process. We always treat your home with care and respect.

Q. My cleaners used something acidic and now my stone looks dull. Can that be fixed?

A. Absolutely — dull spots are usually etch marks. Etching isn’t prevented by sealers, but we can polish the surface back to its original shine.

Q. I can’t get rid of water spots — what’s going on?

A. Often, what looks like water stains are actually etch marks from acids in cleaners or products. Polishing restores the surface.

Cleaning & Maintenance Tips

Q. Which store bought cleaners can damage stone countertops?

A. Avoid using the following types of commonly available cleaners on your stone
counters:
vinegar, bleach, bathroom cleaners, grout cleaners, abrasive cleaners, soft
scrub, and alkaline cleaners

Q. What’s the best way to reach you?

A. Because I’m often hands-on restoring countertops, I may not be able to answer calls right away. The best way to reach me is by text or email—that way, I can respond as soon as I’m available. If you prefer to call, feel free to leave a
voicemail and I’ll return it as soon as I can. I appreciate your patience and look
forward to helping you fall back in love with your countertops!

Q. How much does countertop restoration cost?

A. Restoration is typically a fraction of the cost of replacement. Pricing depends on the stone type and condition, but we’ll always provide a clear estimate before any
work begins. Isn’t it time to fall in love with your counters again?

Q. What can I expect during restoration?
A. You can expect professional, friendly service and countertops that look refreshed and revived. We treat your home with care and leave things cleaner and brighter than we found them.

Q. My cleaners used something acidic on my marble vanity. Now there are dull
spots. Can this be fixed?

A. Absolutely. Dull spots are typically etch marks—surface damage caused by acid. Sealer helps prevent stains, but it doesn’t protect against etching. We can restore your vanity to its original shine.

Q. I can’t get rid of water spots on my marble. What gives?

A. What looks like water damage is often actually etching from acidic products.
These spots require polishing to restore the surface—just like you’d buff a
scratched gemstone. We’ve got you covered.

Q. I have spots on my bathroom vanity after using a sinus rinse. What happened?

A. Sinus rinses contain salt, which can etch stone surfaces over time. Just like salt damages cars in winter, it can damage natural stone. We can safely polish and restore your vanity.

Q. What household cleaners should I avoid on my stone countertops?
A. Steer clear of vinegar, bleach, bathroom/grout cleaners, abrasive powders, soft scrub, and anything acidic or highly alkaline. These can damage or dull natural stone. We recommend a pH-neutral cleaner designed for stone.

Q. Are you insured?

A. Yes. We’re fully insured for your peace of mind.

Q. How long does sealer last on stone countertops?

A. It depends on the sealer, stone, and how the surface is used. On average,
sealers last 1–5 years. Factors include:

  • Type of sealer (impregnating vs. topical)
  • Stone porosity
  • Location (indoor vs. outdoor, high vs. low traffic)
  • Quality of care (gentle, proper cleaning helps it last longer)
We’re happy to assess your countertops and recommend the best maintenance
    plan.

Q. How long does the restoration process take?

A. Most countertop restoration jobs take just a few hours, depending on the size
and condition. We’ll give you a clear timeline during your estimate.

Q.
Can I use my countertops right after restoration?
A.
In most cases, you can use your countertops the next day. We’ll give you full care
instructions before we leave.
